Base salary will be in the range $119,462.94 - $141,545.09 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level B)

About This Opportunity

Join the Yu Group at AIBN and work on an exciting project that will focus your research efforts on nanotechnology and cancer immunotherapy. Develop your expertise and research profile working with a high performing team on cutting edge research in state-of-the-art facilities.

In this role, you will be expected to contribute to student supervision and research development, as well as service and engagement roles and activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Research: Contribute to and develop a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Contribute to the supervision and development of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, facilitate engagement opportunities, provide constructive feedback and coaching, and support researcher capability and performance.
- Citizenship and Service: Demonstrate behaviours aligned with UQ values, contribute to mentoring and collaboration, participate in internal service roles and committees, support unit operations, and cultivate partnerships with industry, government, professional bodies and the wider community.

About You

- Completion or near completion of a PhD in nanotechnology, nanomedicine, immunology.
- An emerging profile in research in the discipline area.
- Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
- Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding.
- Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities.
