Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- undertaking workplace audiometric hearing testing;
- preparing equipment and the mobile testing vehicle for each job;
- contacting clients before arrival;
- maintaining accurate records;
- uploading test results to our secure online platform;
- following appointment schedules and operational instructions;
- maintaining a safe workplace for yourself, participants and clients; and
- representing Mobile Screening professionally at client sites.
Working hours and travel requirements
This is not a fixed-hours office role. Applicants must be willing and able to:
- commence work early, with starts from approximately 6.00 am being common;
- work flexible and changing hours according to client bookings and travel requirements;
- work shifts of up to 10 hours, with appropriate meal and rest breaks;
- occasionally work outside the usual 6.00 am to 6.00 pm window;
- occasionally work a longer day where operational or travel circumstances require it;
- travel between multiple client locations;
- undertake regional and interstate travel;
- stay away from home overnight or for extended periods when required; and
- work between four and five days per week, depending on availability and operational requirements.
While days longer than 10 hours are uncommon, applicants should be comfortable with the possibility where travel, flight schedules or client requirements make this necessary.
Skills and experience
You will need:
- strong communication and time-management skills;
- the ability to work independently and take responsibility for your daily schedule;
- the ability to follow procedures and operational directions;
- good attention to detail and record-keeping skills;
- confidence using email, smartphones and cloud-based technology;
- a friendly, professional and customer-focused approach; and
- a willingness to undertake training and learn additional screening, administrative or operational skills as required.
Previous audiometric or health-screening experience is not essential. Comprehensive training will be provided.
About you
- is dependable, punctual and comfortable working autonomously;
- is adaptable when appointments, travel arrangements or working hours change;
- understands that early starts and variable-length days are part of mobile field work;
- is comfortable driving a large van and, where required, a vehicle towing a trailer;
- is physically able to enter and exit a high roof van;
- enjoys travelling and working at different client locations;
- communicates well with clients, participants and colleagues;
- is willing to receive feedback and continue developing their skills; and
- are willing to learn other workplace health-screening services as business needs and opportunities arise.
