JS Careers have been engaged by a global insurer to source an experienced Project Manager. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Project Manager is responsible for establishing, embedding, and continuously improving theProject Management Framework. The role provides governance, oversight, reporting, and delivery assurance across the project portfolio while ensuringexecutives receive timely, accurate, and decision-ready information on project performance, risks, costs, timelines, and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as secretary to governance committees, coordinating agendas, meeting papers, minutes, action logs, approvals, and project registers.

Support governance processes for major projects, including Steering Committee coordination and reporting.

Maintain portfolio-level oversight of project status, budgets, milestones, risks, issues, and perks realisation.

Produce executive, board, and governance reporting, escalating material risks and delivery concerns where required.

Framework Enablement & Stakeholder Support

Act as a trusted advisor to project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders on project governance requirements.

Support the preparation of business cases, project plans, status reports, risk registers, change requests, and benefits tracking.

Facilitate communication between project teams, leadership,



and stakeholders.

Deliver training, coaching, and guidance on project management standards, templates, and governance processes.

Maintain project management policies, procedures, templates, and governance documentation.

Drive ongoing improvements to project governance, reporting, and delivery practices.

Ensure framework compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.

Support internal and external audits, maintaining project documentation suitable for review.

Key Skills & Experience

7+ years' experience in project management, PMO, or project coordination, including multi-project portfolio management, ideally within a financial services/insurance firm.

Strong experience with project governance frameworks, portfolio reporting, and committee administration.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, meeting facilitation, and minute-taking skills.

Proven ability to prepare executive reports, board papers, and governance documentation.

Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience coaching and supporting business teams through governance processes.

Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.
