The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Sales Representative to drive new business growth throughout Australia and New Zealand. You'll identify opportunities, build relationships with hardware and building materials distributors, and secure new business across the region.

Success means understanding customer challenges, showing how our ERP platform addresses their specific needs, and establishing long-term relationships.
What You'll Do

Build pipeline and demonstrate value - Identify and qualify new business opportunities across the ANZ hardware, timber, trade, and building materials sectors, delivering tailored product demos that address each customer’s specific pain points

Own the sales cycle - Manage opportunities from initial outreach through contract execution, and implementation handoff

Engage with customers - Represent DMSi at trade shows and industry events while conducting discovery sessions to understand how customers operate and what they need from an ERP solution

Collaborate and stay informed - Work with our Professional Services, Support, and Product teams to ensure smooth customer transitions while keeping on top of industry trends, competitor movements,



and market dynamics

Manage your territory - Balance opportunities across Australia and Current Zealand, optimising your travel and face-to-face time

What We're Looking For:

3+ years in B2B software sales (ERP, SaaS, or enterprise solutions)

Proven track record of exceeding sales targets

Experience managing complex sales cycles (typically 6-12+ months)

Strong presentation and demo skills - you can engage everyone from warehouse managers to CEOs

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Self-motivated with great time management

Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)

Comfortable with regular travel (40-50% of your time)

Sales experience in the hardware, timber, trade, or building materials industry

Knowledge of ANZ industry networks and buying groups (Mitre 10, Total Tools & Hardware Group, HBT, Natbuild, Plumbing Plus, Gemcell, ITM, etc.)

Understanding of ERP systems and business processes

Existing relationships in the ANZ building materials sector

Experience selling across multiple regions or countries

You're someone who:

Builds genuine relationships, not just transactional ones

Can translate technical concepts into business value

Stays resilient when deals take time

Works collaboratively with internal teams

Understands both Australian and New Zealand business cultures

Education and Experience:
Sales, Business Management, Project Management, or equivalent work experience in similar roles or with similar duties.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Remote office with the use of computers and mobile devices; no unusual physical demands. Travel to customer locations and trade shows as needed, including business air travel and car rentals.
