We are seeking a passionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Rehabilitation Ward at St John of God Ballarat Hospital on a permanent part time or causal basis. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans.
- Support patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals and maximise independence in daily activities and mobility.
- Administer medications safely and effectively,
monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition.
- Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors, allied health professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Encourage and support patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation program and care planning.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment, recovery, medications and discharge requirements.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide clear, timely clinical handover.
- Contribute to safe and effective discharge planning and continuity of care.
- Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control and clinical safety.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and exceptional patient experience.
Benefits
- Salary: $85,480 - $107,881 (pro date for part time), plus12% superannuation
- Casual rate: $53.90 to $68.03 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus12% superannuation
