The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager,
you will be part of a collaborative payroll team supporting the accurate and timely delivery of end‑to‑end fortnightly payroll for a large national workforce. You’ll manage payroll reconciliations and remediation, maintain employee records and entitlements, interpret Awards and legislation, and respond to payroll queries across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end‑to‑end payroll
- Manage payroll reconciliations and remediation activities
- Maintain employee records, leave balances and entitlements
- Interpret and apply relevant Awards and EBA's
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and policies
- Respond to internal and external payroll queries
- Work closely with HR, Finance and operational teams
- Support payroll process and system improvements
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience processing high-volume end‑to‑end payroll
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, Awards and compliance
- Strong payroll systems experience is essential
- Strong attention to detail and accountability
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- A genuine passion for payroll and delivering a high level of service
- Collaborative and proactive approach
