Belmont District Hospital is a 103-bed community hospital in the beautiful Lake Macquarie region, offering the perfect balance of career and lifestyle, with Newcastle, beaches and outdoor activities close by. Our busy General Surgical Ward (1FNB) provides care across general surgery, urology, gynaecology and orthopaedics. You'll work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, caring for patients throughout their surgical journey while building your clinical skills, confidence and experience.

Job Responsibilities

- Clinical assessment, monitoring and recognising changes in patient condition
- Medication administration and treatment
- Wound care and surgical drain management
- Supporting personal care, recovery and activities of daily living
- Working collaboratively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team
- Developing care and discharge plans and providing patient education
- Maintaining accurate documentation and clinical handover
- Contributing to a safe, supportive and positive ward environment
