From getting out into the field and seeing our infrastructure firsthand, to using your skills and knowledge to improve how we manage our assets.

What You'll Do

As our Asset Officer Water and Wastewater, you'll play a key role in supporting the effective management of Council's water and wastewater infrastructure by maintaining accurate asset information, conducting site inspections, and providing technical data and reporting that informs planning, maintenance, and investment decisions.

Working closely with operational teams and key stakeholders, you'll help ensure our asset management and GIS systems remain accurate and up to date, contributing to reliable service delivery, regulatory compliance, and the long-term sustainability of our essential water and wastewater networks.

What You'll Need (Essential Criteria)

- Diploma or Bachelorof Civil Engineering, Information Technology or relevant discipline togeographical information systems and/or asset management, with two years’experience in data capture andmanagement, and contract management.
- Demonstratedexperience in developing and maintaining asset management systems including use of SQL, excel and access databases.
- Demonstratedexperience in maintaining geographic information systems including use of online mapping, mobile data collection toolsand scripting (e.g. python).
- Understanding of asset management principals including assetvaluations.
- Proven ability indeveloping asset and valuation reports, effective verbal and written communication skills and experience delivering high-quality customer service.
- Hold and maintain a CClass drivers' licence.
