About the Role

As Head Nurse, you’ll play a key leadership role in the clinic, shaping nursing standards, mentoring the team, and maintaining clinical excellence.

In this full‑time role, you will:

- Lead, coach, and mentor our Veterinary Nursing team
- Build and nurture a positive, cohesive, and motivated team culture
- Manage daily workflow to support a high‑performing clinical environment
- Pre‑ and post‑operative care
- Anaesthesia and surgical support




- Animal pathology
- Emergency and critical care
- Work closely with veterinarians to ensure gold‑standard patient care
- Identify opportunities to improve clinic efficiency and processes
- Handle client enquiries professionally in person, via email, and over the phone

About You

You’re an experienced veterinary nurse who leads by example and brings confidence, compassion, and consistency to your team.

You’ll ideally have:

- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- 3+ years’ clinical nursing experience
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading nursing teams
- A calm, supportive leadership style
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset
- Familiarity with RxWorks (desirable, not essential)
