Job Description
Little Leo's Early Education Little Leo’s is seeking a qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join its early childhood education and care service.
The successful candidate will plan, deliver and evaluate play-based educational programs that promote children’s early literacy, numeracy, language, social, emotional, intellectual and physical development. The Early Childhood Teacher will work collaboratively with educators, families and centre management to provide a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports each child’s individual interests, abilities and developmental needs.

Task & Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and evaluate play-based educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Structure indoor and outdoor learning experiences using appropriate materials, resources and teaching strategies.
- Deliver activities that develop children’s early literacy, numeracy, language, creativity, motor skills and social interaction.
- Observe and assess children’s learning, behaviour, wellbeing and developmental progress.
- Prepare learning records, observations, assessments and individual development goals.
- Adapt educational activities to support children with different abilities, interests, cultural backgrounds and learning needs.
- Promote children’s confidence, independence, cooperation and positive relationships.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment in accordance with Little Leo’s policies and procedures.
- Communicate with parents and families regarding children’s participation,
learning, development and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with educators and centre management to maintain consistent educational practices and quality outcomes.
- Support children’s health, safety and welfare and identify factors that may affect their development or participation.
- Ensure educational practices comply with the National Quality Standard, applicable regulations and service requirements.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
- Current teacher registration or eligibility for registration, where required.
- Previous experience as an Early Childhood Teacher or in a comparable early learning environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver and evaluate child-centred educational programs.
- Strong observation, documentation, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with children, families and educators.
- Current
- Working with Children Check and required first aid qualifications.
