Finance Manager will be responsible for leading a dynamic accounts team within the Finance department, working alongside a supportive leadership team in a role that requires a professional, cooperative team player with a can-do attitude and a commitment to achieving outstanding results.
Responsibilities
- Lead the finance team in completing all financial reporting tasks, including month-end closure, and processing accounts payable and receivables.
- Supervise an outsourced AP/AR processing team
- Review, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of balance sheet accounts.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including working capital and balance sheet movement reviews for senior management and stakeholders.
Finance Compliance
- Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct regular assessments of internal controls and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including preparing and submitting required reports to regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Internal and External Control and Audit
- Participate in audits, ensuring all balance sheet accounts are prepared and accurate.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors on business control and compliance matters.
- Review and manage the GAP/CSA process across divisions to ensure compliance.
- Oversee and improve business Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for efficiency.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic business initiatives within the company and across functions.
- Provide insights on financial performance and variances.
Asset Management
- Oversee the management of company assets, ensuring optimal utilization and value preservation.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of asset performance.
- Implement strategies for asset acquisition, disposal, and optimization.
Project Capital Management and Cash Flow Management
- Evaluate and manage the financial viability of capital projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and timelines, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Forecast cash flow and working capital, analyzing to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Develop strategies and action plans to optimize working capital.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Experience/Background/Attributes
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA/CA/ACCA qualified.
- Over 8 years of experience in a senior financial position, with a minimum of 3 years in team management.
- Solid experience with SAP HANA, CHECK, or Symphony systems is preferred.
- Experience managing overseas outsourcing services is critical.
- Analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills, with proven experience in process improvement and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent reporting, writing, and communication skills.
- Big 4 or accounting firm experience is preferred.
