CamdenCouncil are looking for Fire Safety Officer tojoin our Building Certification team. This position will see you contributingto the delivery of growth in the local government area through professionaldevelopment & certification assessment.

- Tertiaryqualifications as a Building Surveyor with a training institution listed inSchedule 2 – Qualifications and experience of the NSW Building and DevelopmentCertifiers Regulation 2020
- Registered with the Building Commission NSW as a Building Surveyor
- A full working knowledge of the National Construction Code – Building Code of Australia
- Broad and specific understanding of EPA Act, 1979, Building & Development Certifiers Act, 2018; Swimming Pool Act 1992, Local Government Act, 1993, & associated Regulations as they apply to these Acts
- Proven ability in effective written and oral communication
- Demonstrated ability to review processes and procedures and to improve service delivery
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications
- Demonstrated ability to apply EEO, WH&S; and ethical practice principles and to act with probity at all times
- High level customer service skills
- Practical experience in fire safety assessment forClass 1b & 2-9 buildings
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Experience in group presentations
