About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Afternoon Shift Production Manager to join our team in Forbes.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for keeping production moving, supporting your team, and ensuring our mill operates safely and efficiently every shift.

Our products are produced for human consumption, so maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and cleanliness is a key part of the role.

You'll be someone who enjoys being out on the floor, solving problems as they arise, supporting your team and taking pride in running an efficient operation.

What You'll Be Doing

- Leading and supervising afternoon and evening shift staff
- Overseeing daily mill operations and production schedules
- Operating mill machinery and supporting production activities
- Maintaining food safety, quality and hygiene standards
- Completing cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Identifying and resolving minor equipment issues
- Carrying out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting




- Monitoring production performance and downtime
- Ensuring WHS procedures are followed at all times
- Training and supporting team members
- Creating a positive, accountable and safety-focused culture

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience operating mill, manufacturing, processing or production equipment
- Experience leading, supervising or managing staff
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, organised and willing to lead from the front
- Forklift licence

Desirable (but not essential)

- Experience operating a pellet press
- Experience in food production or a food-grade manufacturing workplace
- Exposure to preventative maintenance programs
