MESO Solutions Pty Ltd is a Sydney-based construction business specialising in advanced in-ground solutions, including shoring systems, retaining walls, restraint systems, dewatering, waterproofing and reinforced concrete wall solutions. MESO works from concept and design through to certification and project execution across residential, commercial, aged-care, education and mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities

- Organise, manage and lead the members of his or her crew and contribute to their training and development.
- Ensure team members follow safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
- Regularly inspect the worksite to identify potential hazards and address any safety issues promptly.

Duties

- Construction, erection, installation, modification, and repair of structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials.
- Studying drawings and specifications to determine the materials required, dimensions, and installation procedures.
- Ordering and selecting timbers and other materials as specified in drawings
- Cutting, shaping, and assembly of materials into assemblies, forms, and structures.
- Constructing concrete formwork and assisting in pouring concrete into formwork.
- Assembly and disassembly of concrete formwork and other retaining structures.
- Use and operation of hand and power tools to complete requirements of the trade.




- Engage with Construction teams to seek input on construction methodology and sequence for each structure

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Qualifications

Qualifications/Work Experience Required: Cert III Trade qualification (preferred, but not mandatory) and/or a minimum of 2 years relevant experience gained in the installation of steel shoring and or construction of basement walls.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience gained in the installation of steel shoring and or construction of basement walls.

Skills

Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation procedure.

Ordering and selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts.

Cutting materials and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts.

Construct concrete framework and repair existing fittings, erect framework, and roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards, and verify the trueness of structures.

Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames.

Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install.
