We are seeking an experienced Senior AI Strategy & Governance Consultant to lead a high-profile enterprise AI transformation engagement for a major Australian organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with senior business and technology leaders to shape AI strategy, establish governance frameworks, and develop a roadmap for responsible AI adoption.
This role is suited to a consulting professional with expertise in AI strategy, governance, digital transformation, risk management, or technology advisory, who can confidently engage stakeholders and translate complex concepts into practical business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise AI governance frameworks, operating models, and decision-making structures.
- Develop Responsible AI policies, standards, controls, and risk management approaches.
- Assess existing AI, automation, and Copilot initiatives.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritise AI use cases and opportunities.
- Develop executive-level AI strategies and multi-year transformation roadmaps.
- Deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Provide guidance on AI risk,
privacy, compliance, cybersecurity, and governance best practices.
About You
You are a strategic thinker with strong consulting and stakeholder engagement skills, combined with practical experience delivering AI and governance initiatives.
You will bring:
- Experience delivering AI Strategy, AI Governance, Responsible AI, Data Strategy, Risk, Governance, or Digital Transformation programs.
- Experience designing governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.
- Strong understanding of AI governance, privacy, cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business writing capabilities.
- Ability to engage confidently with executive and senior leadership teams.
Highly Desirable
- Experience with Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, or similar AI platforms.
- Experience working within large enterprise or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of emerging AI governance and Responsible AI frameworks.
- Consulting or advisory experience within technology, risk, or transformation practices.
