What your day could look like
As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you'll help people achieve better health, communication and quality-of-life outcomes across regional communities. Working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll use your expertise to influence care, build capability and strengthen services that make a genuine difference.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering advanced clinical care that supports positive patient outcomes and wellbeing.
- Partnering with patients, families and healthcare teams to coordinate effective care.
- Leading service improvements that enhance quality, access and patient experience.
- Mentoring clinicians and students to build capability across the service.

You're an experienced Speech Pathologist who combines clinical expertise with genuine care for people. You bring sound judgement, communicate with confidence and work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes. You take pride in supporting patients, strengthening teams and helping services evolve to meet community needs.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Qualifications in Speech Pathology and current professional certification.
- Experience managing diverse or complex clinical caseloads.
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning and relationship‑building skills.
- A commitment to quality improvement, learning and teamwork.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate study and/or experience working in rural or regional healthcare.
