Central Queensland Health is looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Media Officer to join the Office of the Chief Executive.
Working closely with the Communication and Engagement team, the Chief Executive, Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders across the health service, you will help tell the stories that matter, protect and enhance our reputation, and ensure our communities are informed and engaged.
This is not a role focused solely on responding to media enquiries.
This is an chance for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can navigate complex and high-profile issues, and wants to play a key role in communicating the work of one of Queensland's largest regional health services.

You will:
- Work directly with executive leaders on some of the organisation's most significant announcements, initiatives and challenges.
- Lead proactive and reactive media management across a health service supporting more than 230,000 Central Queenslanders.
- Identify and develop compelling stories that showcase the achievements of our staff, services and communities.
- Provide strategic media advice and support to senior leaders and subject matter experts.
- Manage media issues, reputation risks and crisis communications in a complex and highly visible environment.
- Help strengthen public confidence and trust in Central Queensland Health through effective communication and storytelling.
