Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Administrative Officer to join our growing team on a Part Time (0.9EFT) ongoing basis.
We are seeking a qualified and customer-focused Administrative Officer to join our Private Consulting Rooms team. In this role, you will provide high-quality reception and administrative support to visiting specialists and their patients, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and professional experience. You will play a key role in coordinating appointments, managing enquiries, supporting telehealth services, and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations within a busy clinical environment.

The role of the Administrative Officer is to:
- Provide exceptional front-line reception services, welcoming patients and carers while creating a positive and professional experience.
- Coordinate and manage patient appointments, specialist clinic schedules, and telehealth consultations in an accurate and timely manner.
- Respond to telephone enquiries professionally and efficiently, directing enquiries and providing information as appropriate.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to visiting specialists, including correspondence, filing, mail management, and document processing.
- Process Medicare and private patient billing, payments, and receipts while maintaining accurate records and confidentiality.
- Maintain efficient office operations, patient records, and waiting areas, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and privacy requirements.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Experienced administrator or receptionist with strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy healthcare or office workplace.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a welcoming, professional, and compassionate approach to patient interactions.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and confident using administrative and appointment management systems.
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Committed to confidentiality, professionalism, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality administrative support services.
