SAL Consulting is a leader in the field of neurodevelopment, attachment and a trauma-informed (NATI ©) practice, an accredited provider of Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) through the Child Trauma Academy in the USA, an accredited NDIS Provider, and a Registered Training Organisation.

SAL Consulting is seeking an experienced Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team in the Northern Territory, based in Darwin.
This is more than a traditional psychology role. Alongside a diverse and rewarding caseload,you'llcontribute to multidisciplinary practice and work with individuals,familiesand service systems to create meaningful and lasting change.

What You’ll Be Doing
You'llcombine direct clinical work with assessment, intervention, consultation, multidisciplinary collaboration, mentoringand discipline development activities.
Your work will include:
- Delivering high-quality services across community, clinic,schooland telehealth settings
- Providing assessment,interventionand consultation services to people with diverse and often complex needs
- Supporting individuals, families,carersand support teams to achieve meaningful outcomes
- Mentoring and coaching developing practitioners
- Contributing to discipline growth, clinicalinnovationand service development
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic and person-centred outcomes
Our work in Darwin is varied and providesa strong basein working with people with a range of underlying developmental and mental health related issues. Our Darwin team complete a range of assessments with diverse client populations, including Early childhood developmental, FASD, ASD, Psychosocial, Behavioural, Parenting capacity, Dementia, Forensic assessment. The use of assessments relating to learning difficulties, executive functioning, depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. are also utilised asappropriate.
Psychological intervention,therapyand behaviour support services areprovidedusing a diverse range of modalities inclusive of individual, family based and service system interventions.
Our client groups are diverse,
and whilelargely fundedthrough NDIS and Territory Families, are inclusive of a wide range of presentations stemming from developmental trauma, developmental disability, neuro developmental disorders, traumatic brain injury, and mental health issues.

Desired Skills and Experience
Mandatory Requirements
- Degree in Psychology or equivalent
- Unconditional General Registration with AHPRA
- Obtained (or willingness to obtain) Suitable Behaviour Support Practitioner assessment against the NDIS capability framework
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement
- Minimum 5 years' experience as aPsychologist
- Experience working within at least one relevant funding environment (e.g. NDIS, education, child protection, health,justiceor related sectors)
- Experience coaching,mentoringor supporting developing practitioners
Highly Regarded
- Experience in working with people with intellectual disability, traumahistoriesand complex support needs
- Experience conducting complex psychological assessments
- Experience working collaboratively with families, supportnetworksand multidisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes in everyday environments
