This is a wonderful opportunity to work with the RSPCA ACT where you will play a crucial role in providing help, protection, and advocacy for the better welfare for animals in the ACT. RSPCA ACT strives for a community free of animal cruelty and neglect, where all animals have the best chance of having a happy life.
The Role
Contribute to and implement fundraising strategy and annual campaign calendar, ensuring appeals, regular giving initiatives, supporter journeys, community fundraising activities and events are delivered effectively and on schedule. Assist the team with supporter engagement, community fundraising and events, these functions will create a more integrated and sustainable fundraising program that strengthens supporter relationships, improves donor retention and grows revenue to support animal welfare outcomes. Please note you need to be willing to work weekends, some nights and public holidays.
Key responsibilities
Individual Giving & Donor Development
Coordinate multi-channel fundraising campaigns, donor acquisition, retention and reactivation, including annual appeals and matched giving.
Regular Giving
Manage Regular Giving acquisition,
retention and upgrade campaigns, including telemarketing, supporter journeys, testing and performance monitoring.
Community Fundraising & Events
Coordinate RSPCA ACT fundraising events, managing logistics, communications, fundraising activities and relationships with volunteers, sponsors and community groups.
Donor Experience & Stewardship
Deliver donor care, recognition and stewardship initiatives, ensuring effective supporter communications and opportunities to improve engagement and retention.
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant demonstrable experience.
- Experience with raising funds (or generating revenue)
- Strong understanding of nonprofit organisations and the broader social sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions.
- Solid project management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Drivers licence.
