- Based at the organisation's largest Australian manufacturing site and national head office
- Strong remuneration package plus targeted annual performance bonus
- Career development, visibility and impactful safety leadership

About the Organisation

Based in Strathfield South, this national food manufacturing organisation operates a large network of sites across Australia and New Zealand and plays a key role in supplying high-quality products to some of the region's most recognised food brands.

With a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement, the business continues to invest significantly across its people, systems, infrastructure and manufacturing operations.

You’ll be based at their largest manufacturing site in Australia, which also serves as its national head office. As a high-volume operational environment, the site incorporates multiple manufacturing functions and provides regular exposure to operational and senior corporate leaders.

The business is also preparing to undertake a significant onsite redevelopment project, creating an important opportunity for the HSE Business Partner to support project planning, contractor management and safe project delivery alongside their broader operational safety responsibilities.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Site Manager, the HSE Business Partner will provide day-to-day health, safety and environmental leadership. This is a practical,

hands-on role partnering closely with operational leaders to strengthen safety capability, support injury management, improve risk controls and ensure ongoing compliance across WHS, environmental and food manufacturing standards.

A key focus of the role will be supporting the delivery of a major onsite project expected to run for approximately seven to eight months. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, project leaders and multiple contractors to ensure safety requirements are embedded throughout project planning and execution.

Strong project management capability is essential.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Supporting the planning and safe delivery of a major onsite redevelopment project
- Leading the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of HSE management systems
- Supporting site leaders with coaching, advisory support and practical risk management
- Driving behavioural safety initiatives to build a strong, engaged safety culture
- Conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations with a root-cause focus
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and food safety legislation and standards
- Managing injury management, early intervention and return-to-work processes
- Leveraging digital tools and data insights to analyse performance and support improvement initiatives
- Contributing to broader sustainability, waste-reduction and environmental programs

About You

You bring a collaborative,

people-focused approach and thrive in busy operational environments where visibility, communication and strong stakeholder relationships are essential.

You are equally comfortable managing day-to-day HSE requirements and supporting the structured delivery of a significant operational project. You can work across multiple priorities, challenge constructively and maintain solid oversight of contractors, risks, actions and project deliverables.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

- Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Demonstrated experience supporting or managing projects within an operational environment
- Experience coordinating multiple contractors and project stakeholders
- Experience in an operational HSE role, ideally within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar environment
- Capability across risk assessment, incident investigation and hazard control
- Experience supporting environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives
- Confidence influencing, coaching and building relationships at all levels
- Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience highly desirable

What's on Offer

- Strong remuneration package plus targeted annual performance bonus
- High-profile HSE role at the organisation's largest Australian site and national head office
- Opportunity to support the delivery of a significant onsite redevelopment project
- Broad exposure across operational safety, project delivery and contractor management
- Ongoing organisational support for professional growth and learning
- Employee benefits program, including savings at major retailers
