The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is the independent prosecuting authority responsible for the prosecution of all serious indictable offences committed against the laws of New South Wales. We are an agency of over 1100 staff, working throughout NSW to service the main court centres. Our 10 offices have a mix of Crown Prosecutors, Solicitor Advocates, Solicitors and support staff.

The Role
The ODPP seeks a Project Officer to join the Solicitor's Office Project Management Office.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will undertake a range of project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects and ODPP initiatives.
This role requires a highly organised professional who can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, maintain confidentiality and support the successful delivery of projects.
Key accountabilities
- Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans.
- Create and maintain documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices to support compliance with the ODPP's project management methodology.
- Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning.
- Assist the Solicitor's Executive to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.
- Provide high-quality secretariat and administrative support, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing agendas, papers and minutes.
About you
- Project experience in a high-volume legal or other professional environment.
- Advanced analytical, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive relationships with a variety of individuals and agencies.
- Solid attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
- A proactive, collaborative and customer-focused approach to delivering quality outcomes.
