City of Kingston

Warehouse, Service & Repair Supervisor

Location: Carrum Downs, VIC
Position: Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate Start Available

Help Deliver Christmas Across Australia – All Year Round

Christmas Display Solutions (CDS) is one of Australia’s leading providers of commercial Christmas displays, decorations and festive installations.

We work with shopping centres, councils, commercial properties, hotels and public spaces across Australia to create memorable Christmas experiences enjoyed by millions of people each year.

We’re looking for a practical, hands‑on Warehouse, Service & Repair Supervisor to take ownership of the day‑to‑day organisation of our warehouse, stock and assets, repairs, refurbishment and preparation of displays for installation.

This is very much a hands‑on role.

If you’re someone who likes to organise, fix, build, improve and get things done , this could be a great fit.

A Full‑Time Role with a Seasonal Difference

Christmas is naturally our busiest time of year, so this role has a seasonal rhythm.

During the quieter months – generally March to July – the role typically operates around 3–4 days per week while remaining on a full‑time salary.

In return, we need someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves during our busier periods and help make sure our projects and installation teams are ready to deliver Christmas across Australia.

For the right person, it offers an unusual combination of full‑time security, variety and greater flexibility during the quieter part of the year.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for keeping our warehouse, Christmas assets, tools and equipment organised, maintained and ready to go.

- Overseeing the day‑to‑day organisation and operation of the warehouse
- Receiving, storing and dispatching stock and equipment
- Maintaining accurate stock and asset records
- Picking,

packing and staging projects for installation teams
- Loading and unloading vehicles using forklifts and warehouse equipment
- Inspecting returned Christmas displays and identifying repairs
- Repairing, servicing and refurbishing decorations, trees, wreaths, garlands, lighting, props and display structures
- Looking after tools, machinery, access equipment and consumables
- Undertaking preventative maintenance and coordinating servicing
- Building, assembling and modifying new decorations and display elements
- Working with materials including timber, metal, plastics, fabrics, foliage, lighting and decorative finishes
- Supporting our installation teams and occasionally assisting on‑site during peak periods

There’s plenty of variety. One day you might be preparing a major installation, the next repairing a Christmas tree, building a custom display or improving how the warehouse operates.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is practical, organised and comfortable taking responsibility for getting things done.

You don't necessarily need to come from the Christmas or events industry. Your background might be in warehousing, maintenance, manufacturing, fabrication, construction, shop fitting, signage, events or another practical environment.

Most importantly, you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems and keeping things organised.

What You’ll Need

- Previous warehouse, logistics, operations, maintenance, manufacturing or similar experience
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Confidence using hand and power tools

- Practical repair, assembly and maintenance skills
- Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Current Forklift Licence – essential
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to undertake manual handling and normal warehouse activities
- A strong commitment to workplace safety

Reach forklift experience is preferred and an EWP Licence would be an advantage.

Even Better If You Have…

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

- Warehouse or stock/asset management
- Supervising or leading a small team
- Fabrication or welding
- Carpentry or shop fitting
- Construction or maintenance
- Painting and decorating
- Signage, events or theming
- Creative construction or display production
- Basic electrical troubleshooting

We don't expect one person to tick every box. If you're a capable hands‑on all‑rounder with strong warehouse skills and a willingness to learn, we'd still like to hear from you.

Why Join Christmas Display Solutions?

- $75,000–$80,000 + super
- Full-time position with a seasonal working rhythm
- Typically around 3–4 days per week during our quieter March–July period
- A genuinely varied, hands‑on role
- Take ownership of the day‑to‑day warehouse operation and make improvements
- Work on unique projects delivered throughout Australia
- Be part of a growing, creative Australian business
- Work with a friendly and supportive team
- Chance to grow with the role as the business continues to expand
- Help create Christmas experiences enjoyed by millions of Australians every year
