Job Description
- $73k per annum + 12% Superannuation

Our Council owned Children’s Services Centre provide high quality education and care programs that are delivered by our highly qualified, dedicated and passionate educators, teachers and staff within a supportive and nurturing setting for all children.
The program encourages children and families to work together in collaboration with the service to share their interests and needs.
The role
As a Diploma Qualified Educator within WELS, you will be a key member of our long day care team, providing educational and engaging experiences for children ages 6 weeks - 6 years.
Key aspects of the role include
- Programming, planning and documenting children’s learning in line with the VEYLDF and NQF.
- Providing nurturing, challenging and inclusive experiences.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and supervision.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with families, children and colleagues.
- Contributing to the Quality Improvement Plan and reflective practice.
- Ensuring compliance with Child Safe Standards, legislation and Council policies.
- Bringing recent ideas that strengthen the quality of our service.

- Skilled in written and verbal communication.
- Practical skills in technology for programming and documentation.
Essential requirements
- Diploma in Children’s Services (ACECQA approved)
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid/CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates.
- National Criminal History Check
- Commitment to child safety and Council immunisation requirements.
