About the Role
Are you an experienced early childhood educator ready to take the next step into leadership?
Greater Hume Children Services is seeking a passionate and motivated Team Leader to lead and mentor our educator team at the Walla Walla Children Services Centre.
Greater Hume ChildrenServices is an established early childhood education and care provider,dedicated to providing high quality education and care in a nurturing, naturebased environment. Greater Hume operate four (4) Early Childhood Centres,across Culcairn, Henty, Holbrook and Walla Walla and three (3) OSHC services.
As Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the educational direction and the day-to-dayoperations of the Walla Walla service. You will lead by example, supporting educators to deliver engaging, inclusive and high quality programs while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory and quality frameworks.
This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Centre, supporting program development and implementation,
mentoring educators and fostering positive relationships with children, families and the community. Working closely with the Children Services leadership team, you will help create a positive and collaborative culture that reflects Greater Hume's commitment to excellence.
Salary and Hours
This opportunity is offered on a Full time basis (76 hours per fortnight) and is worked across the Centre's operating hours of 7.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will be offered a salary in the range of $42.38 - $47.47 gross per hour plus applicable allowances and 12% Council superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the Team Leader include (but are not limited to):
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the Walla Walla Children Services Centre
- Providing effective leadership, mentoring and support to educators to foster a positive and high-performing team culture
- Overseeing the planning, implementation and evaluation of educational programs in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Supporting compliance with the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation
- Facilitating the onboarding, induction and ongoing development of team members
- Coordinating Centre enrolments and supporting occupancy growth
- Building strong partnerships with children, families, schools and the broader community
- Supporting engagement and collaboration with local community groups and organisations
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and quality outcomes across the service
- Ensuring children are provided with safe,
inclusive and engaging learning environments.
About You
You are an experienced early childhood professional who is passionate about children's learning and development and enjoys supporting and inspiring others to succeed.
You will bring strong leadership and communication skills, a commitment to quality improvement and a sound understanding of the frameworks and regulations that underpin early childhood education and care. To be considered for this position, you must hold a current:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Current NSW Working with Children Check Clearance (employee)
- National Police Check Clearance within the last 6 months
- Current First Aid in Education and Care Setting, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training
- Child Protection Certificate
- Current Driver Licence.
