Support and assist in the Tea Farm Management Section's operations specifically in the area of farm management, under the clear directions and leadership of the Manufacturing Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the green tea plants in the leased green tea plantation(s) in accordance with the practice of good husbandry
- Ensure that the frost protection system is in working order
- Liaise with suppliers for farming needs
- Monitor the health of the tea plants and cultivars and report to the Manufacturing Manager if there are any signs of pest or disease
- Record farming activities and submit a monthly report to the Manufacturing Manager
- Harvest the tea plants according to the harvest schedule
- Plant new cultivars when requested by the Manufacturing Manager
- Propagate the cultivars under the directions of the Manufacturing Manager

- Verbal and written communication skills (essential)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting (essential)
- Ability to operate farm machinery (essential)
- Car Licence (essential)
- Relevant administrative/agricultural/technical experience and qualifications (preferred)
- Leadership and people-management skills (preferred)
- Organisational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills (preferred)
- Agricultural Chemical User Permit (preferred)
