KEMA Care Pty Ltd' is seeking a passionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team in Northern Suburbs, VIC. In this casual role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with disabilities and eldery people helping them to achieve their personal goals and live independently within the community. With a focus on providing high-quality, person-centred care, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting clients with daily living activities
- Hoist and other manual hadling
- Engaging clients in social, recreational, and educational activities to promote their wellbeing and community participation
- Providing emotional and behavioural support, and helping clients develop essential life skills
- Collaborating with the client's support network, including families, carers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to care
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation to track client progress and support needs
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients and staff

What we're looking for

- Experience providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual, and/or mental health challenges
- Applicants should have experience supporting individuals with any combination of physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and mental health challenges




- Minimum 2 years of experience in disability support services is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients, families, and the broader support network
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach, with a genuine interest in improving the lives of people with disabilities
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, while adhering to organisational policies and procedures
- A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check are both required
- Valid Australian work visa or work rights are required for this position
