Lismore Base Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Midwives to join the Women's Care Unit on a contract basis. This is a short-term opportunity running from 31 August for a minimum of four weeks, with two positions available. Based at the hospital, the role offers a competitive hourly rate of AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00, providing an excellent chance to contribute to quality maternity care in a supportive clinical workplace.

- Deliver direct clinical care to women across the full spectrum of maternity services
- AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00 per hour, contract position with flexible engagement
- Join an established Women's Care Unit team with clear clinical protocols and collegial support

Preferred Requirements

- Current Registered Midwife (RM) qualification and AHPRA registration




- Demonstrated experience in intrapartum and postnatal care
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a busy hospital setting
- Strong communication skills and commitment to woman-centred care
- Flexibility to adapt to the unit's roster and clinical demands

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent tertiary qualification in midwifery
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Recent experience in a hospital maternity setting or equivalent clinical exposure
