Brisbane Centre for Psychology is an established and growing psychology practice with two welcoming locations in Stafford and Stafford Heights.
Our team provides evidence-based psychological therapy and assessment for children aged four and over, adolescents, adults, couples and families. We believe every interaction with our practice should help clients feel welcomed, understood and confident about taking the next step.
We are seeking an experienced and friendly Client Support Team Member to join us in a part-time or full-time capacity.
About the role
In this varied role, you will support clients throughout their experience with our practice, from responding to enquiries and coordinating appointments to managing referrals, accounts and day-to-day administration.
You will work closely with our Business Manager, Office Manager and team of psychologists across our two locations. The role requires warmth, sound judgement, strong organisation and exceptional attention to detail.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming clients in a warm and professional manner
- Responding to telephone, email and online enquiries
- Assisting new clients find the right psychologist for their needs
- Scheduling appointments and managing practitioner diaries
- Processing referrals and maintaining accurate client records
- Managing billing, payments, invoicing and third-party funding
- Communicating with referrers, funding bodies and health professionals
- Supporting our psychologists and management team with practice administration
- Contributing to the smooth operation of both practice locations
What we're looking for
- Previous reception or administration experience in a busy medical or allied health practice
- Experience using practice management software
- A warm, calm and skilled communication style
- An understanding of the care required when supporting clients seeking psychological services
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Sound judgement and practical problem-solving skillsThe ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- A proactive, reliable and flexible approach
- An understanding of privacy and confidentiality in a healthcare setting
- Experience with Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, NDIS or other third-party funding arrangements would be highly regarded.
