Bondi PA Hire is a Sydney Eastern Suburbs audio visual hire business providing sound, lighting and vision solutions for events ranging from private parties to corporate launches. Our work includes PA and DJ systems, microphones, mixers, LED lighting, projection and display equipment, staging and related event technology.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced Sound Technician to operate, set up and support professional audio visual equipment for events and productions. The role combines hands‑on technical work, equipment preparation and onsite troubleshooting across sound, lighting and related AV systems

Key responsibilities

- Operate sound equipment and audio systems for events and productions.
- Set up, test and pack down PA, audio, lighting and related AV equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment, signal-flow and other technical issues during setup and operation.
- Configure microphones, mixers, speakers, subwoofers, DJ equipment, cabling and accessories.
- Assist with lighting setups, including LED lighting, and support visual or LED-based event projects.




- Check equipment before and after use and work professionally with clients, venues and event suppliers.

Skills and experience

- Relevant AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV qualification, or equivalent relevant training and experience.
- Approximately three years of relevant industry experience, with practical on-the-job technical training.
- Demonstrated experience operating and troubleshooting skilled sound systems.
- Practical knowledge of event audio, lighting and AV equipment and safe setup practices.
- Good communication, organisation, attention to detail and ability to solve technical problems efficiently.

What we offer

A permanent position with an established Sydney audio visual hire business, varied technical work across sound, lighting, vision and event production environments, and a salary of $75,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with skills and experience.
