Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Theatre Technician to join the Broadmeadows Surgical Centre team.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
This role requires the successful candidate to have experience across a variety of surgical/endoscopy specialties
This role is responsible for but not limited to
- Setting up theatre equipment
- Patient positioning in collaboration with Surgical/Endoscopy Team
- Working as Part of a Team
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience and good working knowledge of Theatre technician equipment, operating tables, laser, patient positioning
- Proven ability to work autonomously or part of a team
- Demonstrated knowledge of varying surgical specialties
- Well-developed communication and time management skills
- Flexible and change orientated
- Must be values aligned in all aspects of the role
- Highly organised ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions
- Has Greater than 12 months experience but less than 24 months working as a Theatre Technician at the time of appointment
- Holds Theatre Technician Qualification
