Reporting to the relevant Investigative Work Unit Manager, the Intelligence Support Officer (ISO) role is embedded within investigative units. The primary function of the ISO is to provide administrative support to investigators to allow Detectives to focus on crime investigation. The ISO also provides administrative support to the Work Unit Manager through compiling compliance reports and other administrative functions as required within Division 3.

Your duties will include:
- Supporting Investigators through day-to-day administrative functions
- Interpose Support
- Operating computer systems such as Microsoft Office Products and Internal Victoria Police IT systems
- Maintaining records in accordance with Victoria Police Governance and Risk Management Procedures
- Supporting the Unit Work Manager through creating regular IT based reports on key functions
- Flexible work locations within Division 3 via consultation / direction of management
About You:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Sound computer skills including experience in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to adapt to & become efficient in the use of internal Victoria Police IT systems
- A strong understanding of the need for information security
- A commitment to ethical professionalism
Further Information:
- The usual place of work will be with the Sexual Offences Child Abuse Investigation Team at 101 Albert St. Ballarat. However, you may be expected to work out of any location within Western Region Division 3, as required.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
