About the Role
St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Japanese Teacher to join our Secondary Years teaching team. Join a collaborative teaching team and share your passion for teaching Japanese by delivering engaging, purposeful lessons that drive strong student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Japanese curriculum and the College's teaching framework.
- Identify diverse learning needs and plan experiences that enable all students to achieve success.
- Assess and provide both positive and critical feedback that monitors progress and gives clear, actionable steps for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting to be able to provide students and parents with detail and informative written and oral reports.
- Support wellbeing and manage behaviour by building rapport, maintaining an orderly classroom, and following up concerns in line with policy.
- Contribute to the College community and professional practice through teamwork, cocurricular involvement, administration, supervision and ongoing development.
What You Bring
- A relevant Graduate Teaching qualification and current Queensland Teacher Registration.
- Experience teaching the AIM (Accelerative Integrative Method) teaching methodology is highly desired.
- Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum development and implementation, and contemporary educational issues.
- Proven classroom teaching capability, including effective planning, delivery, classroom management, assessment and reporting.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values.
