This is an opportunity for an experienced dental nurse who wants to build on their clinical skills and work at a more specialised level.
QOMS works across a broad range of oral and maxillofacial procedures, including surgical extractions, dental implants, trauma, reconstructive surgery, oncology and pathology.
You will work closely with experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, assisting with procedures both within QOMS clinics and in hospital theatre settings.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Working closely with surgeons, nursing staff and the broader QOMS team
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinical environment
About You
You are an experienced Dental Assistant who enjoys clinical work and takes pride in providing a high standard of patient care.
You are confident chairside, organised and calm under pressure.
You also understand that patients undergoing surgical procedures may be anxious and need explicit communication, reassurance and professional care.
You are now looking for an opportunity to extend your experience beyond general dentistry and gain greater exposure to complex specialist surgical procedures.
You will need:

- Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant
- Strong chairside assisting skills
- Sound knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures
- Confidence working in a busy clinical environment

- The ability to work effectively as part of a specialist clinical team
- A driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- The flexibility to work across the various QOMS locations
- Australian residency and full time work availability Monday to Friday
Experience within oral surgery, specialist dentistry or a hospital environment would be highly regarded, but is not essential for an experienced dental nurse ready to develop their skills further.
Why QOMS?
This is an opportunity to take your dental assisting experience into a more specialised surgical environment.
QOMS offers:
- Exposure to interesting and complex oral and maxillofacial procedures
- Experience across both clinic and hospital settings
