The Opportunity
HammondCare’s Respite Cottages provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer, you’ll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like environment.
About the role
In this role you will provide care for our clients across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills Cottages.
Hourly Rates: $31.95 to $35.44- P/H + penalties
Shift Schedule
- 7.15am-14.45 - Morning shift
- 14.45 - 21.45 - Afternoon shift
- - Night shift
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
- Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
- Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays
- Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally
About you
Available to work across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills sites you’re a people-person who is patient and solutions-focused you have previous experience in aged or community care, or are looking to start your career in aged care you have a valid Driver’s Licence and access to an insured, reliable car ideally, you'll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help First Aid certificate desirable Empathy and compassion are a must Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
