Job Description
About the Urgent Care General Practitioner role
Join our Urgent Care team as a GP, providing assessment and management of non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. This role suits GPs confident in acute presentations who value delivering timely, high-quality care in a supportive, multidisciplinary, not-for-profit community health service.
We are specifically seeking GP availability for PM shifts (3:00pm–10:00pm) on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays , with additional AM and PM shifts available across the week.
- Location: Your Community Health | 42 Separation St, Northcote
- Hours: 7 days a week, 8am–10pm | AM & PM shifts available
- Employment Type: Casual contracts available
- Casual rates: Ranges between $200 per hour (all-inclusive $224 with super and loading) for weekdays and$240 per hour (all-inclusive $268.80 with super and loading) for weekends.
- Part time opportunities also considered!
Your Passion and Commitment will see you:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based urgent care.
- Assess and manage minor injuries, infections, musculoskeletal issuesand acute symptoms.
- Work with nursing and admin teams to keep patient flow smooth.
- Use clinical judgment to escape or refer patients as needed.
- Build a culture of safety, learningand improvement.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Recent experience in an urgent care setting is required.
- AHPRA-registered Medical Practitioner with full registration.
- Strong experience in primary, urgent, or emergency care.
- Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills.
- Able to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
