Location: Council’s Aquatic Centres at Grenfell and Quandialla

- Ensure a protected swimming environment and supervise the safety and wellbeing of patrons.
- Support day-to-day operations, customer service, and canteen duties (including cooking and food preparation).
- Maintain clean, safe, well-presented pool environments and work with the Senior Pool Lifeguard to deliver a positive customer experience.
- Seasonal role for the 2026/2027 season (September 2026 to March 2027) with shifts rostered Monday to Sunday across varied operating hours.

Key Accountabilities





- Ensure public safety within Aquatic Centres in line with Council policies, procedures and WHS requirements.
- Perform lifeguard duties in accordance with training and licence requirements.
- Provide quality customer service to Aquatic Centre users.
- Assist with pool, plant and facilities management and cleaning, as required.
- Current RLSS Australia Pool Lifeguard Licence (or higher/equivalent), or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
- Working With Children Check/Number (or ability to obtain).
- Demonstrated experience.
- Working knowledge of WHS responsibilities.
- Class C Driver Licence (Provisional acceptable).

Conditions of Employment

- Grade 3 entry $ /hour to Grade 3 Step 4 $ /hour (includes 25% casual loading), depending on skills and experience.
- Employment in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award and Council’s salary structure.
- Ideally candidates will be 18+; applicants aged 16–17 will be considered.
- Pre-employment health assessment, National Police Check and Working With Children Check (if not already completed) are required.
