Lead an established Hardware Engineering function developing sophisticated electronic and electromechanical products for global markets.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll lead across Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Test and Manufacturing Engineering, with genuine influence over engineering strategy, technology direction and product delivery.

This is proper physical product engineering, electronics, embedded technology, PCB and mechanical design, prototyping, testing and manufacturing.

What you'll do

- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Hardware Engineering function.
- Own complex products from concept and architecture through to production.
- Set engineering priorities and technical direction alongside the CTO.
- Drive product quality, reliability and manufacturability.
- Develop engineering leaders and specialist technical capability.
- Stay close enough to the technology to challenge decisions and solve difficult engineering problems.

About you

You've likely spent 15+ years in Hardware, Electronics or Electrical Engineering and progressed from Engineer into senior engineering leadership.

You'll have experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex physical products into production.

Relevant backgrounds could include industrial electronics, embedded systems, automation, defence, aerospace, communications, medical devices or advanced manufacturing.

You won't be expected to design the PCB yourself, but you should have the technical credibility to sit in a design review, understand the trade-offs and challenge experienced engineers when required.
