Personal Assistant (PA)/Support Worker-PUR-578-504
J is a 10-year-old child with a diagnosis of Down syndrome and Sickle cell disease. He is partially verbal and uses Makaton to communicate.
J enjoys water play, swimming, going to the park and playing role-playing cards.
He benefits from routine, patience, encouragement and positive support while taking part in activities he enjoys.
Hours and rate of
pay hours
50 hours @ £15 ph available to be used flexibly, including weekends and school holidays.
The working pattern will be agreed with family.
Location Cambridge, CB4 area
DBS/Checks Confirmation of an Enhanced DBS check.
Right to Work and references will be needed.
What you would
Provide one-to-one support for J in activities he enjoys, including water play, swimming, visits to the park and role -playing card games.
Supporting J to build his confidence, communication and independence while ensuring he remains protected and engaged in activities.
Required skills and experience
A patient, calm person with experience and good understanding of supporting young people with special needs especially Down syndrome.
A cheerful and enthusiastic individual who enjoys engaging children through play and activities.
A driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential.
