Must Have Skills

5+ years of experience in DNSoperations/support, with at least 2–3 years at L3 level

Robust hands‑onexperience with BIND (open‑source DNS)

Deep understanding of

- TTL, caching behavior, andquery resolution flow
- Latency and routingbehavior

Experience with Anycast DNSdeployments

Exposure to other DNS software: Unbound,PowerDNS, Knot DNS





Automation and scripting (Shell, Python,Ansible)

- Act as L3 escalation point forcomplex DNS incidents impacting production services
- Diagnoseand resolve critical DNS outages, performance degradation, and securityissues
- Provideexpert support for authoritative and recursive DNS infrastructures
- Workclosely with L1/L2 teams, NOC, and Core Network teams to restore servicesquickly
- Deep troubleshooting of BIND
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for majorincidents
