Senior ServiceNow Developer | Contract to Perm | Immediate Start

About the Opportunity Advance Thinking is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join a newly formed enterprise ServiceNow team with one of our key clients.

This is a hands‑on senior role for someone who knows the ServiceNow platform deeply and wants the prospect to influence how it is built, governed and improved — not simply maintain an existing environment.

You'll initially join through Advance Thinking on a 4-5 month contract , with a structured pathway to transition into a permanent position directly with our client.

Working across a broad ServiceNow roadmap, you'll deliver solutions spanning ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, IRM, CSDM and enterprise integrations , while helping establish strong platform standards and ways of working.

The Role You'll combine hands‑on ServiceNow development with technical problem‑solving, platform governance and stakeholder engagement across a complex enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Design, configure and develop ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD and IRM.
- Build integrations and automation using Integration Hub, APIs and platform scripting .
- Implement and govern CSDM and CMDB standards across the platform.
- Configure and enhance Service Catalogues, workflows and enterprise processes.
- Support ITOM capabilities including Discovery and infrastructure workflows.
- Provide technical input from solution scoping and design through to deployment.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate manual activities and improve user experience.
- Maintain strong platform security, development and governance standards.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and vendors to deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions.




- Provide technical documentation, knowledge sharing and upskilling to internal team members.

What We're Looking For:

You'll be an experienced ServiceNow Developer / Engineer who can operate autonomously and is comfortable taking ownership within a large enterprise environment.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Strong hands‑on ServiceNow development and configuration experience.
- Demonstrated experience across ITSM and ITOM , with exposure to HRSD and/or IRM highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of CSDM, CMDB and ServiceNow data architecture .
- Experience building enterprise integrations using Integration Hub and APIs .
- Strong ServiceNow scripting and workflow automation capability.
- Experience delivering within complex enterprise environments.
- A solid understanding of ITIL and Agile/Lean delivery practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business stakeholders.

ServiceNow CSA and/or relevant CIS certifications are highly regarded, as is previous experience within utilities, critical infrastructure or other regulated enterprise environments.
