This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with notice in alignment with the applicable Award. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

About the Opportunity

As an Occupational Therapist Level 3 you will plan, coordinate and deliver high quality clinical Occupational Therapy (OT) care to inpatients withCentral Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) in compliance with the Occupational Therapist's Code of Conduct.

The Level 3 OT clinically supervises Level 1/2 OTs and undergraduate students and facilitates the enhancement of the service through leadingquality improvement and research activities.

In this role you will:

- Provide high-level, evidence-informed clinical service to clients/patients, their families/carers and other health professionals.
- Exercise independent professional judgement in solving problems and managing cases.
- Prioritise competing demands in situations of professional and emotional intensity and remain flexible, open and composed.
- Actively contribute to the immediate team, the broader multidisciplinary team, as well as to the CCLHD OT department.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy and registration as an OT with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency.
- Demonstrated ability to innovatively lead team tasks.
- Demonstrated advanced reasoning skills, independent professional judgement, effective time management and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Well-developed written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and guide and support others in service excellence.
