About Croi
The Prospect
We're looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead the delivery of technically complex electrical design projects and provide technical leadership across our growing utilities design capability.
This is more than a design role. You'll lead complex ASP3 electrical designs for NSW electricity networks, taking technical ownership from design development through DNSP acceptance and construction issue, while delivering practical, compliant and constructable solutions for major infrastructure projects.
Working across major infrastructure projects, you'll lead complex design activities, coordinate specialist technical inputs and stakeholder requirements, manage technical and project risks and support successful authority approvals. You'll also play an important role in reviewing design quality,
resolving complex technical challenges and maintaining technical consistency across project teams.
As a senior member of the team, you'll work closely with clients, project teams and authorities, mentor developing engineers and designers and contribute to proposals, client relationships and new opportunities for Croi.
Success in this role means delivering technically excellent design outcomes, building trusted client relationships, applying sound commercial judgement and helping develop the technical capability of the people around you.
About You
You're an experienced electrical design professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and taking ownership of design outcomes. You combine advanced technical capability with sound commercial judgement and can confidently engage with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary project teams.
ASP3 design accreditation, or eligibility to obtain ASP3 accreditation, is essential.
You'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience successfully delivering complex ASP3 electrical designs for NSW electricity networks through DNSP acceptance and construction issue .
- Experience preparing, reviewing and certifying ASP3 designs, including network designs, environmental documentation, technical reports, calculations and authority submissions.
- Experience developing practical,
constructable ASP3 solutions for integration into complex 3D utilities designs on major transport projects , including designs coordinated with road staging.
- Strong capability in identifying and managing design and project risks, including environmental, property, stakeholder and network constraints.
- The ability to work effectively with clients, project managers, authorities and specialist consultants to resolve technical issues and achieve successful project outcomes.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior and intermediate engineers in their technical development.
- The ability to contribute to proposals, business development and client relationship management.
- Experience delivering private electrical designs in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 and other relevant Australian Standards , as required.
