Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Lane Cove, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Leading the estimating team, allocating workloads and setting priorities to meet deadlines
- Assisting with the preparation of litigation compliant reports
- Preparing quantity take-offs, cost analyses, bills of quantities (BOQ), cost plans, and pre-tender

estimates

- Conducting cost reviews to ensure optimal project outcomes
- Assessing and comparing contractor quotations against industry benchmarks
- Completing detailed cost estimates based on measured scopes of work
- Assessing variation assessments, progress claims, and financial reporting
- Undertaking tender analysis and contractor comparisons




- Monitoring project costs from feasibility through construction to finalisation
- Interpreting designs and quantify elements for new and remedial works
- Working collaboratively with Building Consultants and Project Managers to deliver commercially sound remedial solutions.

Additional responsibilities may include advising on value management, budgetary concerns, and financial risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.

What you will bring

- A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or related field
- 5-7 years minimum experience in cost management, estimating, or quantity surveying
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodology, and cost structures
- Familiarity with remedial or rectification projects is an advantage
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, CostX and Bluebeam (preferred)
- Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity.
