Location: Sydney
Salary package: $150,000 + Uncapped Commissions
This newly created role is an opportunity for a proven recent‑business hunter to build a national pipeline across complex decarbonisation and net‑zero solutions. You'll sell consultative, engineered solutions rather than off‑the‑shelf products, working alongside technical specialists to solve energy and asset challenges for large organisations. With uncapped commission and strong earning potential, this will suit a commercially driven BDM who understands the technical landscape.
Required skills and experience
- 5+ years' B2B business development experience with a strong track record of winning new clients and revenue.
- Proven hunter mentality, with experience generating opportunities rather than relying on an established account base.
- Demonstrated experience selling complex decarbonisation, energy, renewable energy or engineered solutions.
- Experience in solution‑based/consultative sales, rather than solely product, licensing or certification sales.
- Working knowledge of energy, electrical, mechanical and asset engineering concepts.
- Ability to work with engineers to scope and develop tailored technical solutions for clients.
- Experience engaging senior decision‑makers around net‑zero,
energy efficiency, electrification or asset‑performance initiatives.
- Electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications/background will be highly regarded.
What you'll be doing
- Build a national pipeline of new decarbonisation opportunities.
- Engage organisations looking to reduce emissions and progress towards net zero.
- Identify asset and energy challenges and develop commercially viable solutions with engineering teams.
- Sell solutions across areas such as electrification, renewable energy, submetering, energy efficiency and transitioning assets away from gas.
- Own the sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through to proposal, negotiation and close.
- Build long‑term client relationships and identify further opportunities across their asset portfolios.
- Work alongside established sales and technical teams while owning the growth of the decarbonisation offering.
