About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Academic Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across our academic programs.

Working closely with the Chief Visionary Officer, the Academic Director will oversee curriculum development, academic quality, teaching standards and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will support and mentor instructors while ensuring our programs remain engaging, relevant and responsive to emerging educational practices, technology and future workforce needs.

Adaptable employment arrangements are available, including full-time, part-time or contractor engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee academic programs across GVD and VDA.

- Develop,



review and continuously improve curriculum and learning materials.

Maintain high standards of teaching quality and academic consistency.

- Mentor instructors and support lesson planning, classroom delivery and assessment.

- Promote innovative teaching approaches, including design thinking, studio-based learning, multidisciplinary collaboration and AI-assisted learning.

- Monitor student engagement, learning outcomes and overall satisfaction.

- Oversee assessment practices and maintain academic integrity.

- Support the onboarding and professional development of teaching staff.

- Collaborate with schools, universities, industry professionals and community partners.

- Contribute to school programs, workshops, exhibitions, open days and community initiatives.

- Work collaboratively with management, marketing, business development, operations and administration teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Substantial experience in academic leadership, curriculum development or education management.

- A relevant qualification in education, design, creative industries or a related discipline.

- Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, teaching practice and academic quality assurance.

- Experience leading, mentoring or supporting educators.

- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder-management skills.

- A student-centred approach and a commitment to inclusive and engaging learning.

- An interest in design, creativity, technology, AI and future-focused education.

- The ability to balance strategic leadership with practical academic operations.

- Experience working with schools, young learners or creative education programs will be highly regarded.
