SFIA 5 Security Consultant | SC Cleared | Contract | £440/day

We're looking for an experienced Security Consultant to join a high-profile public sector digital platform programme on a contract basis.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in shaping and safeguarding the security posture of a major cloud-based data platform, working closely with architecture and engineering teams to ensure controls are robust, compliant, and fit for purpose in a government environment.

What You'll Be Doing

- Designing security controls across the platform, including IAM, Lake Formation, and data classification boundaries
- Ensuring platform components meet government security and data handling requirements
- Reviewing architectural decisions for security risk and providing documented sign-off for deployment

What We're Looking For





- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS security architecture
- Proven expertise in threat modelling and risk treatment
- Solid background in security logging and monitoring
- Practical experience with AWS IAM, Lake Formation, and Splunk
- Active SC Clearance (essential)
- Rate: £440 per day (inclusive of fees)
- Clearance: SC Cleared required
- Location: Versatile, with occasional travel to Newcastle or Leeds
- Engagement type: Contract position
