Corporate Accountant

Our client is a multinational sustainable energy investment group with operations across the globe, whose portfolio includes onshore wind, solar photovoltaic, solar thermal and transmission and distribution line technologies.

They are currently seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their high performing team in Sydney, Australia. The ideal candidate will be Big Four/Top 10 audit trained, technically adept, and able to deal with complex IFRS/technical accounting issues.

Reporting to: Finance Director

Salary: A$100,000 – A$120,000 per annum + bonus & wider benefits

Location: Sydney, Australia - WFH options offered (2 days per week)

Responsibilities:

- Production of annual consolidated and stand‑alone financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Liaising with external auditors and preparation of audit support schedules and working papers
- Researching technical accounting issues and preparation of accounting memos for non‑routine commercial transactions
- Preparation of parts of the quarterly management report and providing commentaries to management




- Assisting with group budgeting and forecasting
- Preparation of additional supporting schedules for reviews and providing explanations and analysis to support key stakeholders
- Maintenance and quarterly uploading of the Company’s lease, depreciation, deferred charges, interest accruals and other accounting schedules
- Researching technical accounting issues and preparation of file notes and accounting memos for non‑routine commercial transactions (depending on experience)

Skills required:

- Qualified Accountant (CPA/ACCA) or equivalent
- Audit experience with a Big 4/Top 10 accounting firm is essential
- Personal drive to succeed and an ability to prioritise tasks effectively so as to meet the goals of the finance department within agreed deadlines
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to review own work
