1. Position Purpose

The Venue Manager owns the operational, commercial, cultural, and compliance performance of Southbank. They are accountable for delivering a consistent, warm, memorable guest experience while managing the venue's financial performance to Group targets, developing the team, and upholding YASSAS standards.

2. Key Result Areas (KRAs)

2.1 Financial Performance

- Own the venue's weekly and monthly P&L; against Group-set targets

- Deliver revenue, labour %, COGS %, and controllable expense targets

- Approve rosters within labour budget; escalated variances proactively

- Approve daily banking, comps, voids, and refunds within delegated authority

- Report weekly financials via Pulse to GM Operations

2.2 Guest Experience

- Deliver YASSAS's 12 Standards to every guest, every shift, every day

- Own theSix Memory Moments

- Monitor Google reviews, OpenTable feedback, and guest complaints

- Personally resolve escalated complaints

- Deliver monthly Google review score against Group target

2.3 Team Leadership

- Recruit, hire,



and onboard team members with GM Operations sign-off

- Develop the Assistant Manager, Head Chef, and Supervisors through weekly 1:1s

- Set and hold the standard for the whole team via the Daily Huddle

- Run performance conversations early and directly — no "surprise" reviews

- Own team retention and engagement; monitor turnover against Group target

2.4 Operational Excellence

- Ensure venue opens and closes to standard every service

- Steward Pulse, OpenTable, Tanda, and Square usage — no shortcuts

- Own venue cleanliness, presentation, and repairs-and-maintenance queue

- Manage supplier relationships in coordination with Head Chef

2.5 Compliance & Safety

- Upholdhalal certificationwithout exception

- Deliver 100% compliance on food safety, allergen management, WHS

- Ensure all staff hold current RSA where required and Cert III where triggered

- Maintain accurate records (timesheets, incidents, training) via Pulse

- Own all liquor licensing conditions and hours-of-trade compliance

2.6 Culture & Standards

- Live and coach the YASSAS Playbook, Staff Guide, and ETF framework

- Run the Daily Huddle to Group standard every service

- Reinforce that YASSAS ispremium casual— never QSR, never fine-dining formal

- Coach team members through the Academy training curriculum

2.7 Functions & Events

- Own function enquiries, quotes, and delivery for Southbank

- Coordinate with the Function Coordinator (Nexus bookings, deposits, contracts)

- Personally attend all functions over $4,000 revenue

- Maintain Southbank as the Group's flagship function venue

2.8 Reporting & Communication

- Weekly RM/VM meeting with GM Operations (agenda provided)

- Monthly business review with the Sr. Management Team

- Immediate escalation of any incident (WHS, complaint, cash, staff)

- Written weekly summary via Pulse
