Core Talent are currently working with a Tier 1 electrical contractor delivering major commercial and infrastructure projects across Queensland, and they’re looking to add an experienced Commissioning Supervisor to their team.
This role will suit someone with a strong background in electrical commissioning across commercial construction projects.
The Role
You’ll take responsibility for the commissioning of electrical services across major projects, working closely with the project, engineering and site teams to ensure systems are tested, commissioned and ready for handover.
- Lead and coordinate electrical commissioning activities on site
- Develop and manage commissioning plans, programs and documentation
- Coordinate testing and commissioning with project teams and subcontractors
- Review electrical systems and documentation ahead of commissioning
- Manage commissioning issues, defects and rectification works
- Work closely with site teams to ensure systems are ready for testing
- Coordinate with consultants, clients and other project stakeholders
- Ensure testing, records and handover documentation are completed correctly
- Support the project team through final commissioning and handover

About You
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Supervisor who understands commercial construction and can confidently manage commissioning from pre-commissioning through to handover.
You’ll ideally have:
- Extensive commercial electrical commissioning experience
- Previous experience supervising commissioning activities on major projects
- Strong understanding of electrical services and construction
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, project teams and other stakeholders
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and documentation
- Strong knowledge of testing, commissioning and handover processes
- Excellent communication and site coordination skills
Candidates from an industrial electrical commissioning background will be considered, particularly where you have strong supervisory experience. However, candidates with substantial commercial building services experience will be preferred.
